Social Play Groups:
Communication, Sensory Integration, Joint Attention, Social Interactions, Play Skills, Following Directions, Imitation Skills, Attending, Sharing, Emotional Regulation and Self - Help Skills.
The focus of our play groups is on early intervention, targeting children 2-6 years old. Groups will consist of 2-4 children depending on current skills and level of support needed. All groups will be run cooperatively with a speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist for optimal skill development.
Why are Social Play Groups so Important?
All children have different needs; some children may be at the right age to attend preschool, but they might not be ready in other ways. Preschool settings may be too large or over stimulating for some children to learn. Our program provides a small, quiet environment for children to focus attention, acquire new skills, and get ready for the next step in their world.
